Rockwool Party Wall Batts are manufactured to be friction fitted under compression for vertical applications on party walls. The product fits between the party wall and the roofing material. They can also perform as a fire seal between the edge of a floor slab and the facade of a building.
Firewalls are designed to reduce fire hazards by separating one dwelling from another. Party Wall Batts provide building occupants the maximum time to escape safely by maintaining sufficient structural adequacy, integrity and insulation.
Rockwool Party Wall Batts acts as a seal/gasket between the party wall and the roof construction, providing up to a 2-hour fire protection level as required under the building codes. The product can be installed in a single layer or multiple layers but may need support. Party Wall Batts should be installed with a 10% compression to ensure stability and eliminate gaps.
Rockwool Insulation consists of inorganic fibres from volcanic rock and minerals bonded together by an organic binder. The insulation has high resistance to shrinkage at high temperatures and is therefore suitable for use as a fire-resistant barrier between tenancies.
The product is a result of the most advanced manufacturing technology in Japan. The design ensures consistent product quality, high fibre density and low shot content for high temperature, fire resistance and acoustic applications.
Resistant to shrinkage at high temperatures ancountered in fire conditions.
Light-weight, low shot content, high fibre content and easily cut and formed.
Performance is not adversely affected by contact with water.
Non-combustible, non-corrosive and low dust fallout.
